Day Two - Spell for Self-Love

Yesterday’s portal was great. How was your Lions Gate? Be sure to journal + reflect about it! So much was activated and we started our journey. I walked around my neighborhood and saw tons of bees munching on all the flower nectar. Bees are a symbol of personal power and community. The ancient Druids saw the bee as symbolizing the sun and the Goddess. I love that solar energy, especially now in Leo season. Right after my walk, I had a reading with a client. This was my first time using the “Medicine Woman” deck by Carol Bridges with someone outside my family. We pulled this message. I knew I had to share it with all of you!
The Healing card (or the “Strength” card in traditional tarot) is a radiant reminder of this moment. We are in the 8th month of year. Yesterday was our 8/8 portal. You have worked hard to get to where you are. Your system of knowledge can be utilized in this area. Trust your power to mend situations. Whatever the situation, know that love is the source. Proceed with love over fear. Connect to your healing practice in a heart centered way. Remember, it takes strength to heal. Here is a spell to bring some sweetness to your day.
Spell: Love As Sweet As Honey*
By this time in the summer, the bees are happy little campers, dining off the nectar of all the blooming flowers and producing their gifts to us: sweet honey. Honey is actually a fabulous natural product. Not only is it delicious on food, but it can also be used for healing. It is a little bit like love that way — sweet and healing and wonderful.
Use some honey (local if you can find it) to help open yourself to love and all of its positive forms. Dip a spoon into the honey and let the sweetness flood your mouth. Then say the spell, visualizing love flying through the universe on its way to you.
Love like honey
Sweet and sunny
Fly my way and come to stay

*If you are vegan and do not consume honey, feel free to use agave! Agave is just as ancient and glorious.
